    Knights net 15th ITA academic award

    The Carleton College women’s tennis program continued its strong run of top-notch performances in the classroom as the 2017 conference champions recently earned their 15th All-Academic Team award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Additionally, four members of the program garnered individual recognition as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

    Knights earn 40 Academic All-Conference awards

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Winter/Spring 2016-17 Academic All-Conference honorees today, with Carleton College student-athletes earning distinction 40 times. To qualify for recognition, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

    Knights fall to Gustavus in MIAC Finals

    With a trip to the NCAA Championships on the line, the No. 37-ranked Carleton College women’s tennis team was unable to dig itself out from a 3-0 deficit following the doubles portion of the match and lost, 5-2, to No. 38 Gustavus Adolphus College in the finals of the MIAC Playoffs.

    Knights sweep Bethel to advance to finals of MIAC Playoffs

    With a 9-0 triumph over No. 4 seed Bethel University on Friday afternoon, the top-seeded Carleton College women’s tennis team advanced to the finals of the MIAC Playoffs. The Knights will host No. 2 seed Gustavus Adolphus College in the conference tournament championship match on Sunday with the MIAC’s automatic berth in the NCAA Championships at stake.
