    Knights start Spring Break at PLNU Invite

    Erica Blackett-Thomas won the high jump as the Carleton College women’s outdoor track and field team opened its Spring Break trip at the Point Loma Nazarene University Invite. Blackett-Thomas cleared 1.65 meters, matching her career best. The Knights finished 10th out of 16 teams at the meet, which included a trio of NCAA Division I programs and six D-II teams.

    Mathison races to All-America honors in mile run

    Sophomore Meg Mathison garnered All-America status as she placed eighth in the mile run at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. She crossed the finish line at 4:59.43.

    Six Knights grab 12 All-Region Awards for Indoor Track and Field

    Prior to the start of competition at nationals, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its selections for All-Region honorees for the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season. The Carleton College track and field programs saw six athletes take home 12 different Central region awards.

    Meg Mathison qualifies for NCAA Championships

    Meg Mathison headed to the Wartburg Qualifier, a last chance meet used as a final attempt to improve times before selections to the national meet are announced. Mathison did not disappoint, winning the mile run with a team-record time of 4:57.87. That is fast enough to punch her ticket to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

    Mathison wins 3K, Knights finish fourth at MIAC Indoor Championships

    Meg Mathison won the 3000-meter run to highlight the performances on the final day of the MIAC Championships for the Carleton College women’s indoor track and field team. The Knights turned in a total of four all-conference performances on Saturday and finished fourth in the team standings.

    Knights third heading into final day of the MIAC Indoor Championships

    Behind a trio of runner-up finishes and a total of seven all-conference performances, the Carleton College women’s indoor track and field team sits in third place after the first full day of competition at the MIAC Championships. The Knights are only 0.5 points out of second place.
