Four Knights compete at UW-L last chance meet

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Four members of the Carleton College women’s track and field team competed at the UW-La Crosse NCAA Qualifier on Thursday.

Damali Britton (Jr./Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista) led the way for the Knights, as she took fourth place in the triple jump with a season-best distance of 11.37 meters. She also ran in the 200-meter dash, earning 14th place (career-best 27.32).

Senior Emma Grisanzio (Carol Stream, Ill./Wheaton North) also competed in two events. In the first, the high jump, she finished in ninth with a mark of 1.46 meters. Later in the day, she joined Britton in the 200-meter dash and crossed the finish line in eighth place in a career-best time of 26.12 seconds.

Claire Trujillo (Sr./Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) notched a sixth-place result in the 3000-meter steeplechase (11:27.31).

Nicole Nipper (Sr./Minnetonka, Minn./Minnehaha Academy) ran the 1500-meter distance and took sixth place with a time of 4:48.18.
