"Countering Violent Extremism": FBI Surveillance of Muslim Comm. in TC

Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) is one of an assortment of government surveillance programs that gives large amounts of grant money to community-based organizations in exchange for their reporting back to the government about any perceptions of radicalization.  Ayaan Dahir, Youth Development Coordinator, CAIR - MN, Hanan Karia, organizer from the Justice Coalition, and Asad Zaman, Executive Director of Muslim American Society Minnesota, will discuss the proliferation of such surveillance programs in the Twin Cities and the ways that they infringe on the civil rights of Muslims.
