Mr. Cole will read from his work and will talk about the lives and afterlives of the Hebrew poetry of Muslim Spain and Kabbalah. Following 'ripples outward from medieval Spain,' he will also discuss how we deal, as readers, writers, teachers, students, and translators, with a selection of these medieval Sephardic and mystical poems as 'classic texts.'
