A panel discussion on Thursday, Jan 16th, at 5:00 pm in Leighton 304: issues and events currently taking place in Hong Kong.
 
The panelists are:

Seungjoo Yoon (Carleton), a perspective from Beijing 
Adeeb Khalid (Carleton), a comparison between Xinjiang and Hong Kong
Kent Freeze (Carleton), theme TBD
Katherine Tegtmeyer Pak (St. Olaf), an analysis of the social movement aspects 
Chuen Fung Wong (Macalester), a local perspective from Hong Kong
Wayne Soon (Vassar), a perspective from the Overseas Chinese community (Singapore & Taiwan) 
Win Wen Ooi (Carleton CCCE, from Malaysia, '21) Malaysian Chinese diaspora's responses to the events in Hong Kong
Lydia Chau (Carleton '21) Hong Kong
 
This important event is hosted and organized by Professor Seungjoo Yoon, History Department.
It is supported by the Dean's Office, Peace and Conflict, Political Science, the CCCE, and History's Herbert P. Lefler fund.
