Hard Questions: Science, Religion, and Ethics

Mon, April 20, 2020 • 7:30pm - 8:30pm (1h) • Zoom Meeting

May 4 - We will discuss the ethics of information during a crisis.  We'll look at this topic as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic and more broadly.  What is the role of the media during a crisis?  How do we balance preventing the spread of disinformation with protecting free speech?  What obligations do governments and leaders have when it comes to sharing information during a crisis?  What issues should experts consider as they try to communicate complicated information to the general public?
