Green Dot Week of Action

Mon, January 23, 2017 • 10:00am - 2:00pm (4h) • Sayles Great Space

Fourth week is Carleton's first-ever campus-wide Green Dot Week of Action. Green Dot is a nationally recognized bystander intervention program that focuses on building the skills needed for individuals to take action when they see instances of power-based personal violence (stalking, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault). 'Green Dots' are small choices that each of us make with our words or actions which help prevent harm from occurring in our community. The Green Dot motto is, 'No one has to do everything, but everyone has to do something.'

There are many ways to get involved this week; pledge to participate in one or more of the following events!

Saturday 1/21: Cheer on women’s basketball at the Green Dot game (1:00 pm, West Gym)

Monday 1/23: Tabling in Sayles – pledge your Green Dot, sign up for training

Tuesday 1/24: Tabling in Sayles – complete scenarios and win prizes!

Tuesday 1/24: Green Dot Booster Session for students who have previously completed a 6-hour Green Dot training, common time in Sayles-Hill Lounge, lunch provided

Wednesday 1/25: Instagram challenge – win prizes! Talk about what Green Dot means to you; follow carletoncollege and use #greendotcc

Thursday 1/26: Pick up a Green Dot cupcake during common time

Thursday 1/26: Green Dot one-hour overviews during common time, lunch is provided (Leighton 303 for students, Leighton 305 for faculty and staff)

Friday 1/27: Drop off Green Dot goodies in your friends’ mailboxes
