Tortoise Investment Management is an independent investment advisor located in White Plains, NY (just outside of NYC) that currently has over $1 billion in assets under management. We provide customized, sophisticated investment management and financial advice to high net worth families and individuals across the country. Our investment philosophy emphasizes asset allocation, risk management, and a conservative, long-term approach. Our financial advice often touches all major financial areas of our clients’ lives. We believe that it is more important to maximize the probability of having enough money, rather than striving to have the most money, as our clients navigate their lifetime milestones.

Every member of our investment team, from the junior-most analyst to the founder, participates in the management of our portfolios and our client relationships.  Our constant dedication to putting our clients first is the foundation of our extremely strong client relationships. It is crucial to our ongoing success that we continue to attract, develop and retain employees with the highest level of integrity. The work we do is challenging, engaging, purpose-driven, and it has a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients. It requires intellectual curiosity, effective communication skills, and an ability to balance multiple responsibilities. If you are interested in finance, but also want to work with people, wealth management could be right for you.

Claire BClaire is an associate of Tortoise responsible for portfolio management, research and client relations. She received a B.A. with departmental honors in Economics from Haverford College (2016), with a concentration in Mathematical Economics. While at Haverford, Claire led a social skills group for children with Autism and was an Introduction to Economics teaching assistant. Claire joined the Tortoise team in June of 2016.
