Arb Volunteer Event - CANCELED

Sat, March 21, 2020 • 9:00am - 12:00pm (3h) • Arboretum Office, 710 Three Oaks Drive

Help with forest restoration in the Lower Arboretum. Eastern Red Cedar is invading one of our tree plantings and threatens to overtake the oaks, cherries and other desirable forest trees.  We will be removing these small trees with loppers and handsaws before they get so big they need a chainsaw. If the trails are too wet to drive our work location is a 1/2 mile walk into the Arboretum. Wear comfortable walking boots or shoes!  Tools and work gloves will be provided. Meet at the Arboretum office to carpool to the closest parking lot to the work site.

NOTE: This event has been canceled. Please get outside anyway.  The outdoors is not yet closed.
