Conversation with Stephanie Watowich, PhD, ’83, P’15, P’21
Please join us for a conversation with Dr. Watowich (’83) about her pathway from Carleton to graduate school to MD Anderson Cancer Center and about finding research opportunities.
Carleton Alum, Dr. Stephanie Watowich, class of 1983, will share about her pathway from Carleton to Professor of Immunology and Co-Director of the Center for Inflammation and Cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Watowich also directs The Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT)-CURE Summer Undergraduate Program, a 10-week research program designed for outstanding undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing research-based (M.S., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D.) careers in cancer research. As part of her conversation, she will discuss strategies on finding summer research opportunities in general as well as at MD Anderson. There will be plenty of time for Q and A!
