City Year Tabling
Every year, nearly 3,000 young people join City Year and dedicate 11 months to make a lasting impact on students and communities across the country.
At City Year, we’re working to bridge the gap in high-poverty communities between the support that students actually need, and what their schools are designed and resourced to provide. In doing so, we’re helping to increase graduation rates across the country, and changing the lives of the students we serve.

Baustin Shaw ’19, philosophy major is currently service as an Americorps Student Success Coach at City Year Dallas. He notes on his LinkedIn profile: As a Student Success Coach, I work with students in Academics, Social Emotional Learning, and Attendance. This role works as a medium between the teacher and student making it unique in this way. I work in the school with the students daily and cause direct change in these student lives.
