Friends Committee

The Friends Committee on National Legislation is a non-partisan, non-profit Quaker organization in Washington, DC that lobbies Congress on a wide range of issues in the public interest.

It offers paid internship and fellowship opportunities for students and recent graduates to get first-hand public policy or communications experience working on Capitol Hill.

FCNL also hosts a young adult lobbying conference each March called Spring Lobby Weekend (March 20th-March 23th, 2021), which teaches students from around the country to lobby and then gives them the opportunity to use their skills in Congress.

Hannah Sievers, Program Assistant for Young Adult Outreach, will host a virtual session to talk about professional development opportunities in their non-profit organization. You will be able to learn more about the programs they offer including: Advocacy Corps, Spring Lobby Weekend 2021, Young Fellows Program, and summer internships.
