'For centuries, scholars (men scholars especially) have looked at Lancelot as Guinevere's perfect courtly lover, and because of this, as a failure to the quest for the Holy Grail. They focused on his specialty and limitations as a man. But what if I told you Lancelot could very well not be a man or even a chivalric figure? What if the adulterous relationship with Guinevere was not what matters most compared to his estranged 'lake' origins? What if his so-called transgressions were in fact invitations for more fluidity? Come figure it out!'
