Arboretum Volunteer Event

Help protect young trees from winter deer browse.

Saturday, November 9th, 2013
1:30 – 3:30 pm / Upper Arboretum

Help us protect young oak trees from damage by deer over the winter. We will supply gloves and supplies, you should wear closed toe shoes and socks, long pants, and whatever other clothes you need to stay warm and dry.  This event will take place rain or shine. Meet at the Arb kiosk in front of the Recreation Center to walk as a group to the work site, or join us at the work site (view map at the Arb volunteer activities web site). Please note that the bridge over Spring Creek along the paved trail may be closed due to repair work. Plan an alternate route to cross the creek - Wall Street Road, or the pedestrian bridge on the way to Goodhue Hall.
