May 21st Volunteer Event

Help maintain our young tree plantings. Each tree is guarded with a hard plastic tube until tall enough to avoid browse by deer and rabbits.  We need to replace some of the tubes, take them off of trees that are tall enough, or remove them from trees that have (sadly) died.  Wear long pants, closed toe shoes and socks, and clothes that can get grubby. We will provide tools and work gloves.  Meet at the bridge over Spring Creek along the paved trail, just down the hill from the Arboretum entrance at the intersection of Second and Oak Streets.  Youth are welcome but a parent/guardian must accompany them to the beginning of the event to sign a liability waiver.  Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
