Field Trip to McKnight Prairie

The Carleton College Cowling Arboretum will sponsor a field trip to the Carleton owned McKnight Prairie on Wednesday, October 7, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Enjoy the brilliant colors of the fall asters and the subtle reds and golds of the prairie grasses in the fall. McKnight Prairie is a true prairie remnant, having only been lightly grazed and never plowed.  Learn about the history of the preservation of this small but important parcel of conservation land.  This trip is free and open to the public, but trip size is limited and reservations are required.  Parking is limited so carpooling to the site will be arranged.  Contact Nancy Braker, 507-222-4543 or nbraker@carleton.edu for more information or to make your reservation.
