Reforestation: Help protect young trees from hungry deer!

Saturday, July 18th, 2015
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Help reforest the Arboretum

Help us protect newly planted trees from hungry deer!  We will be installing tree tubes on trees planted this spring in the Lower Arboretum. We have 500 trees to protect, so the more help the better. We suggest you wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, and closed toe shoes.  We will provide work gloves if you need them.  Bring your own water bottle.  Meet at the Arboretum Office to car pool to the work site.  PLEASE NOTE that with the Hwy 19 road construction you need to approach our office from the east if you are driving.  If you are walking or biking you can reach us by coming through the Carleton campus. This event will be cancelled if the weather is hazardous (thunderstorms or tornado watch) but will take place if raining.
