Help restore the forests of the Upper Arboretum by clearing non-native trees and shrubs.

Saturday, May 18th, 2019
9:00 am – 12:00 pm / Arboretum Kiosk in front of the Carleton Recreation Center

Help restore the forests of the Upper Arboretum by clearing non-native trees and shrubs like buckthorn, bush honeysuckle and barberry.  These invaders take up space that our native wildflowers need to thrive.  If the seed of spring wildflowers is ready to collect we may look for seeds to be sown in our work area.  Wear long pants, socks and closed toe shoes and bring a water bottle.  We supply the gloves and tools, you supply the muscle. Meet at the Arboretum Kiosk in front of the Carleton Recreation Center, 501 Three Oaks Drive, to walk to the work site.  See the campus map for this location.  Running late? Come anyway! We will post signs along the way to help you find the group.
