Black History Month Worship Service and Gospel Brunch
Led by Lawrence Burnett, Professor of Music, and the Carleton Jubilee Singers. A meal follows the service.
At the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality - Marking the sesquicentennial of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.
The Jubilee Singers present African American communal songs about freedom and equality as the focus of this year’s Black History Month Worship Service. The service, in the style of a camp meeting, will be followed by a gospel brunch and fellowship in the style of the old-fashioned church picnic.
