Institutional Assessment Plan

The Education and Curriculum Committee (ECC) oversees the regular assessment of Carleton's six institution-level student learning outcomes. Following a plan approved in 2011, the ECC reviews one student learning outcome (SLO) each year on a regular assessment cycle. In 2018-19, the ECC reviewed SLO #2, examining the evidence that Carleton graduates can "demonstrate substantial knowledge of a field of study."  In 2019-20, the ECC will review SLO #5, examining the evidence that Carleton students can "communicate and argue effectively."
