Guest rooms in the Alumni Guest House are for the use of guests of the College. Alumni, parents, friends, guest speakers, job candidates, and others on campus for College business have first priority for rooms in the guest house.

To reserve rooms, complete the following form. Melissa Thomas, Special Events Associate/Administrative Assistant for College Relations oversees the Guest House, and if you have questions, contact her at 507-222-4309 or mthomas@carleton.edu. Rooms may be reserved no more than six months in advance (one month for non-business purposes). Please allow 24 hours from the time your request is made until you receive confirmation or hear back from the College Relations Office; at times booking activity can be quite heavy.

On the occasion that rooms are still available, rooms may be reserved for non-business purposes. Bookings by individuals for non-business purposes (and not charging to a departmental account) may be made at the earliest one month in advance. This allows maximum time for College business to book rooms first.

Rent for these rooms when charged to a College department or when used for College business is $45 per night. Cost for all other non-College business is $90 per night.


Check-in time is 2 p.m. on the day of arrival.
Check-out time is 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
