This page is home to our Frequently Asked Questions, where you can find information on all sorts of things, from useful info about using Moodle and Google Docs to how to give someone access to course materials.  If you have any questions you would like to see us add answers to, please email us.

Since we have many questions answered here, we recommend that you either search by entering a keyword or by choosing a category. You may choose to add a focus (second category) to narrow your search.

How do I change how my students see the results of a quiz?

The settings that affect whether or not a student can see their grade on a quiz or previous attempts on a quiz is located within that quiz's settings. These settings are also applied to whether or not they can see the quiz grade in the gradebook.

To change the quiz review settings:

1) Navigate to the quiz page by clicking on the title of that quiz on your course site.

2) Click "Edit settings" in the Administration block.

3) Scroll down until you see the "Review Options" section. If this section is not expanded, click the title "Review Options" to see the settings.

4) Click on the grey question markMoodleMoreInformationIconnext to Review Options to see what each category (e.g. During the Attempt) means. Click the grey question mark next to each setting to know what the student will be able to see if that setting is checked.

5) Check to boxes next to the settings you want to be shown.

Note: If you uncheck "The attempt", all other settings other than "marks" and "overall feedback" will be automatically unchecked, as shown above. 

6) Click "Save and return to course" or "Save and display" at the bottom of the page.
