Calendar: LTC Events, Book Groups and Workshops

The LTC hosts a variety of events each term.

  • LTC Lunches are open to all members of the Carleton community and lunch is provided for 50 people.
  • Targeted Audience Lunches are discussion based and intended for members of the community who have a vested interest in the topic.  We ask that you RSVP for these lunches so that reading materials or discussion questions can be sent out before beforehand.

AzTech Program: Student Staff & Assistive Technology Supporting Students with Disabilities

Tuesday, January 14th, 2020
11:45 am – 1:00 pm / Weitz 236

Carleton students who serve as Assistive Technologists (AzTechs for short) will share their perspectives about supporting students with learning disabilities. What types of technologies and software are available? How do assistive technologies impact students’ learning experiences? If time allows, there will be the opportunity to test out some of the tools that we currently support, including Smart Pens, and text-to-speech software

Kevin Chapman, Technology Support Specialist
Chris Dalager, Director of Disability Services
Student Assistive Technologists

Students are welcome to attend.
