Calendar: LTC Events, Book Groups and Workshops

The LTC hosts a variety of events each term.

  • LTC Lunches are open to all members of the Carleton community and lunch is provided for 50 people.
  • Targeted Audience Lunches are discussion based and intended for members of the community who have a vested interest in the topic.  We ask that you RSVP for these lunches so that reading materials or discussion questions can be sent out before beforehand.

Active Learning Spaces: Lessons Learned and New Opportunities

Tuesday, October 8th, 2019
11:45 am – 1:00 pm / Anderson 329

The physical space in which we teach is changing with a renovated flexible classroom in the LDC and new classrooms in Anderson Hall. How do more flexible spaces and different options for technology open new approaches to teaching? Regular faculty users of the Weitz 235 sandbox classroom will share how that space space has led them to think differently about their teaching, and we will consider the opportunities and challenges that come with new classroom designs.
