In short the sir for our game against St. Olaf was terrible, so this will be more of a railing against that than anything else.
Sir, can you call offsides?
How about forward passes?
Or god forbid a high tackle?
Or know what penalties are scrums,
and which are penalties?
Are you too old and slow?
After all what is 30 meters behind the play?
Can you surprise the other team,
By awarding tries they didn’t know possible?
Or by allowing their scrummie to pick a lost scrum?
Or do you mere just like unsafe and unfair play?
Anyways the Oaks ended their season break-even: 3-3-1 .
Some notes on the game though we saw some great plays by the Oaks. We saw some great runs down the sides by the wings and great forward play. Unfortunately, the Oaks attempts we're shut down at times by the offsides tackles that prevented the Oaks from making progress down the field. Also hampering play were the many high tackles including one by Drew that including jumping on a Ole back like a backpack. The third half was particularly entertaining when the forwards played many of the back positions, and on the whole was much better for the Oaks than the rest of the game.
