An athletic trainer is available for consultation for rostered club sport athletes who are part of the PE.A.R Department. See available hours Sunday–Thursday. Athletes can call the Rec Center training room to see about other options if necessary.

Club Sports captains are required to submit an Injury Report for injuries which occur to club members during on-campus or off-campus practice, competitions, informal recreation, or instruction within 24 hours of the injury.

Club sport athletes may also see sports medicine specialist Dr. Scott Koehler, MD.

Dr. Koehler works at the Allina Medical Clinic in Northfield and is on campus on Mondays. He is a specialist in acute sports injury management, injury rehab and recovery, sports performance and exercise physiology, and spine and concussion management. Athletes are highly encouraged to take advantage of this resource by either seeing him on campus or going to his office at the Allina Medical Clinic. To make an appointment with Dr. Koehler, talk with the Rec Center trainers for a referral.

Physical therapy services on campus

Physical therapist Ann Wieber-Young from Northfield Hospital comes to Carleton to see patients and her club sports hours are 11 AM - 1 PM on Thursdays. To make an appointment, athletes must first have a current physical therapy order from their doctor. They can then contact one of the athletic trainers at the Rec to set up an appointment for physical therapy. Athletes must complete a packet of paperwork as well as bring their health insurance card to their first appointment.
