Students will learn to use molecular visualization tools to examine 3D molecular structures and create visual images. Each student will create and perfect one visualization designed to guide others through a structurally significant concept.  We will primarily use the web-based tool JSmol and will access the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Base as well as the Protein Data Base. Guest lectures will be given by Rou-Jia Sung (Biology) and Joe Chihade (Chemistry) to highlight other visualization techniques.

Prerequisite: Chemistry 234 or Biology 126
