You know winter term has kicked off at Carleton when two things appear: the broomball rink on the Bald Spot (foreground) and the banner for the student phonathon (top right).
We don't know how many students have taken advantage of the the fresh ice, but we hear that 419 volunteered for the phonathon, which focuses on contacting alumni who haven't yet made their annual gift to the College.
