Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition One-Year Masters in Nutrition Science

The one-year MS in Nutrition Science program is an excellent option for students seeking a gap/glide year, to integrate nutrition science into their training or enhance their understanding of Nutrition that can be applied to a number of diverse career paths.

The MS program prepares students for one of several possible further directions in which advanced training may be pursued. Many MS graduates go on to train in a laboratory discipline pertinent to nutrition, enter medical or dental school, or work a public health field in which knowledge of nutrition figures significantly.

Students can view a video of the presentation, given by MS Program Director Sharon Akabas, PhD, here.
