DEADLINE: Washington DC Recruiting Day (SLAC event)
Participating in the Selective Liberal Arts Consortium (SLAC) gives you access to off-campus job interviews with leading employers around the country!
ABOUT SLAC
SLAC is a consortium of 9 selective liberal arts colleges from around the country that work to provide students with off-campus interview opportunities for post-graduate and internship positions with top employers in many different fields.
The organizations that interview through SLAC come from all sectors, including for-profit, nonprofit, and government, and opportunities include entry-level jobs and internships in a wide range of areas, such as Education, Advertising, Marketing, Political organizing, Technology, Economic research, Consulting, Public policy, Law, and Medical & scientific research.
SLAC is hosting 2 virtual interview days and 2 in-person job fair/interview days during the 2016-17 academic year. To learn more, click here.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
SLAC hosts 2 in-person recruiting days in January in Washington DC (Jan 6) and in New York City (Jan 9). Both events are only available to students of participating schools.
In-person recruiting days span the entire day beginning with a traditional job & internship fair in the morning where all interested students can stop by tables to meet representatives and learn more about the organization. The afternoon is reserved for individual pre-assigned interviews. Students apply by Nov 14, 2016 and are notified if they have been selected to interview by Nov 22, 2016. NOTE that during the Jan 2016 in-person recruiting day, most organizations were offering day-of interviews in addition to the pre-assigned interviews.

Washington DC Recruiting Day takes place at the FHI360 Conference Center in Washington DC and is scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2017. The deadline to apply is Monday, November 14, 2016. These are face-to-face interviews and students are required to travel to the interview site in DC. Visit the SLAC website for a list of participating employers!
