How I Became a Quant" Panel & Reception
Attention students interested in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, and Engineering:
The U of MN is excited to let you know about their annual panel 'How I Became a Quant' which is targeted to your Math, Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, and Computer Science Students!
The University of Minnesota's Master in Financial Mathematics , and the IAQF (International Association of Quantitative Finance) are co-sponsoring the evening.
All quantitative students from your school are invited to attend the Panel and Reception on 4/7/17. They will hear from a variety of 'quants' who will talk about the work they do and how they moved into this career path. Students will learn about:
- The field of financial mathematics/quantitative finance, risk modeling, model validation, investment analytics, trading and hedging
- What MFM alumni/quants do in their daily jobs
