U of MN College of Education + Human Development

Frances Vavrus P’17, Carleton parent and current Professor at the University of Minnesota will be on-campus tabling to promote the U's Comparative and International Development Education (CIDE) program. They offer a one-year, full-time accelerated master’s program as well as a part-time, two-year program.

CIDE uses an interdisciplinary approach to study education’s role in economic, political, and sociocultural development; international educational exchange; and the internationalization of education. Many of the program’s graduates pursue careers in study abroad/international education administration at colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad, while others become educators, policy analysts, and researchers for governmental agencies like Peace Corps and U.S. Department of State; non-profit organizations and foundations like CARE and the Ford Foundation; and United Nations institutions like UNICEF and UNESCO.

If this interests you and you would like to learn more, please stop by and talk with Frances any time from 12:15-2:30pm on Tues. Jan. 16th.
