Mobiata is a Carleton-friendly company that specializes in travel apps for mobile devices. It was founded in 2008 by Ben Kazez ('07) when he launched FlightTrack for the iPhone. Mobiata was acquired by Expedia in late 2010, but we still operate as a small team to create awesome mobile apps for Expedia as well as Mobiata-branded apps like FlightTrack and FlightBoard. Our most recent app, Expedia Hotels & Flights, has had more than 8 million downloads across iOS and Android.

We focus on simplicity in design with intuitive, beautiful user interfaces and are looking to hire both interns and junior engineers in Minneapolis, Ann Arbor, and San Francisco. Please join us for an informational session on Tuesday, February 5 from 7:00-8:00 pm in Sayles-Hill 251 where we will discuss the exciting world of mobile development and demo some of our favorite Mobiata apps.
