Games are being played in more ways by more people than ever before. Digital and tabletop gaming is here to stay, but the industry is trying to adapt to new consumer expectations and publishing options. In a market where companies want to hire employees with years of experience, a fledgling game developer can do one thing that will help their career more than anything else: start making games!

Join Jared Evans, ‘10, as he shares his experience of becoming a Game Designer and working at an independent developer, Wahoo Studios. We’ll cover important tips and lessons that can help you cultivate your best ideas, and take them from a concept into a finished product. Gain insight into the industry, and how you can present yourself and your work to potential employer. Finally, we’ll discuss the past, present, and future of gaming, and why new creators are needed to push the medium towards its next stage of evolution.
