Kate Ray is the Grant Writer at Aeon, a nonprofit owner, developer and manager of more than
2,000 affordable apartments in the Twin Cities. She joined Aeon in 2011 with nearly five years’
experience in grant writing and fund development. In her capacity as Grant Writer, she produces
grant proposals and reports both for Aeon’s general operations and housing development
projects. Prior to joining Aeon, Kate worked as the Grant Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters
of the Greater Twin Cities. She gained her first experience in nonprofit fundraising as an
AmeriCorps VISTA member at Admission Possible where she served for two years. Kate
graduated from Carleton in 2006 with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration in French
and Fracophone Studies.
