Biology professor Susan Singer.

Professor Susan Singer, a consistent supporter of ACE's work in the natural sciences, was featured on NPR's Talk of the Nation earlier this fall. She was participating in a discussion of "Rethinking How Kids Learn Science," part of the show's Science Friday programming. You can listen to Prof. Singer on the NPR website.

Prof. Singer played a major role in the ACE office's recent grant to support Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in local schools, focusing primarily on nutrition education. Her Plant Biology class developed trading cards to teach elementary school students about fruits and vegetables.
