How will you evaluate the service-learning component of your course?
Some ideas that have been used in courses before are:
- Demonstration of a skill
- Assessment of written work
- Normal course assessment
- Agency supervisor evaluation
- Observation of student in simulation
- Assessment of a product(s)
- Personal interview
- Oral presentation
- Service-learning plan/contract
These are ideas, but every course is different and there may be other, more suitable, ways of reflection and evaluation!
