Global Engagement Initiative

One of the most exciting advances of our initiative has been the development of OCS-related internships. In collaboration with the Carleton Career Center and OCS, we have designed a pilot program for students participating in off-campus study programs.

After their intensive academic program, selected students can to prolong their stay in their international location with a professionally-oriented internship that continues to reinforce their learning of language and culture in an immersive environment. Drawing on various resources, we help to subsidize student expenses.

This is an example of how students can integrate their OCS experiences into their broader education.

The pilot program has included the Paris and Berlin OCS programs. We look forward to assisting other OCS programs as they expand their reach into the pre-professional opportunities of internships abroad.
