Stripped
The monologues in Stripped attempt to center often marginalized narratives of different community members to show a swath of what people experience at Carleton. Based off of over 100 interviews with Carleton students, alums, faculty, and staff, Stripped touches on huge social ideas like race, class, gender, and sexuality. Specifically, there are narratives about virginity, asexuality, gender fluidity and trans identity, abortion, menstruation, and more. This year the script has been updated with two new narratives, and we hope to continue updating it each year.Because Stripped is based on interviews with members of the Carleton community, the stories it highlights are immediately relevant to all of us—we hope that Stripped will start conversations about not only diversity and difference, but also about our similarities and less talked about shared experiences that we have had on and off campus.
Stripped will be performed on February 25th @ 8pm in the Chapel.
All profits from ticket and merch sales for Stripped will be donated to the Hope Center.
