Do All Lives Really Matter? Race & Ethnic Politics in a Colorblind Era

Thu, October 20, 2016 • 5:00pm • Willis 204

Stacey Greene earned her PhD at UCLA in Spring 2016. Her research focuses on political behavior and psychology of racial minorities, specifically how minority groups act politically on behalf of each other. Her dissertation, “Intergroup Commonality through Shared Marginality,” uses data from two nationally representative multi-racial surveys to answer the question: When people feel marginalized, do they support policies meant to prevent discrimination against other groups, even when those policies do not directly benefit their own group?
