Last week Carleton was lucky enough to host three wonderful events with Los Angeles-based artist Jessica Rath. The first installment was a lecture about her successful Kickstarter campaign. She raised enough money to go to Geneva, NY and visit The Plant Genetics Resource Unit, which inspired her to create a series of work that is being featured in the Perlman Teaching Museum in the exhibition “Single Species Translations.”
The second event with artist Jessica Rath was a demonstration on how to create the porcelain apples on display in the museum.
Then, in conjunction with the opening reception for the Perlman Teaching Museum, Jessica talked about the process and people that made this exhibition possible.
