Can I major in it? There is a major in Asian Studies, with a disciplinary base in a regular department; a concentration in East Asian Studies; and a concentration in South Asian Studies.

Topics explored: Asian art, languages, literature, religions, society, politics, economics, and history.

How to get started: Students interested in Asian Studies are encouraged to begin the study of an Asian language and/or take introductory classes related to Asia in any of the various departments that contribute to the program.
