Quality/Safety Analyst Position in Children's Hospital Critical Care Units

Children's Respiratory and Critical Care Specialists (CRCCS) is seeking to hire three new Quality/Safety Analysts (QSAs) for the period of June 2019 through June 2020; pre-health students are invited to apply.

The QSA program supports quality improvement projects in the critical care units of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Now in its fifth year, the program has expanded to cover the Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs) at the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at the Minneapolis campus. QSAs have a variety of responsibilities, including:

· Conducting daily Incident Rounds and documenting adverse quality/safety incidents
· Reviewing patient charts and abstracting relevant data
· Maintaining the QSA database of patient characteristics, interventions, and outcomes
· Producing quality metric reports
· Providing analytical support for providers’ quality improvement projects
· Developing & conducting small quality improvement projects and pilot studies
