October 27, 2017 at 7:10 am

Program runs from May 21 to July 27, 2018

Duquesne University's Undergraduate Research Program is funded by the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, The Mylan School of Pharmacy, the Biomedical Engineering Program, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, as well as the departments and faculty throughout Duquesne University.

The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) provides students with essential research experiences for careers in STEM-based fields. Students are highly encouraged to conduct research as early as their freshman year, allowing them an early start in the laboratory. The National Science Foundation states that students who participate in undergraduate research have a greater appreciation for the sciences and will complete their degree in their program of study. Duquesne University has a great reputation for allowing for such research opportunities for our undergraduate students.

Applicants for the Summer 2017 Undergraduate Research Program, the Chemistry NSF/REU, and the Pain Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE) may work in the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences or the Mylan School of Pharmacy. Please submit only one application. The committee will consider each applicant for all eligible funds. A complete application includes:
