Genes & the Environment REU

Funded by the National Science Foundation, this program is a 10 week summer research experience where applicants will have the opportunity to work in a research laboratory at the University of North Dakota (UND) alongside faculty, graduates and undergraduates. In addition to basic lab procedures, participants will have the opportunity to learn a variety of lab techniques in the fields of molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, and others. The scientific focus of this REU is environmental effects on gene expression and regulation, with many possible research projects. Participants will receive a $5,000 stipend, funding for room and board at UND, and round-trip travel.
