Myth, History, and Archaeology: Zeus and Pan on Mt Lykaion in Arcadia

Kyle Mahoney has a B.A. from Gettysburg College in Classics and Greek (2008) and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in Ancient History (2016). He joined the Classics faculty at Swarthmore in 2018, and he previously taught at Temple University and Sewanee: The University of the South. Kyle teaches courses on Greek and Roman Archaeology, Ancient History, and Greek and Latin Language.

Kyle is the Assistant Director of the Mt. Lykaion Excavation and Survey Project in Greece, where he has worked since 2010. His interests lie in the study of ancient Greek inscriptions, the history of the Peloponnese, ancient perceptions of ethnicity, and ancient religions.
