Marielle Foster (2016), senior engineer at Crowdstrike

Thursday, May 14th, 2020
12:30 – 1:00 pm / Via Zoom

This week we have CS Tea at a special time: 12:30-1pm Central time on Thursday! Our guest will be Marielle Foster (2016), who is a senior engineer at Crowdstrike. You might have heard about Crowdstrike, a cybersecurity company, in the news due to its investigations of election interference in 2016. Our revised time is because Marielle is currently working in Germany, and I believe has lots of practice working with remote colleagues and teams spread out geographically and across time zones. Marielle's work focuses on compilers and low level languages, and when I've talked to her about some of her work at Crowdstrike, I've been impressed at how it brings together both very code-focused ideas and very theoretical ideas. You can read a little bit more about Marielle below. On Thursday, at our special 12:30 start time, Marielle will tell us a little bit about her work and her path after Carleton, and then we'll have plenty of time for question and answer.  This event will be held via Zoom.
