CS Tea Talk: Gould Mine of Data with Kristin Partlo

4:00 – 5:00 pm / CMC 301

You know you can access books and journal articles physically and electronically from the Libe, but did you know that you can download structured data files?  Kristin Partlo, data librarian, specializes in helping students find data in the wild as well as building a collection of subscription and purchased datasets for use at Carleton.  This talk will provide a peek into the data available in this collection and explore their use in computer science.  We will start with tea and cookies in CMC 328.  Then we will move over to CMC 301 for Kristin's talk.
