  • igniteCS provides funding and resources for groups of college and university students to make a difference in their local communities through Computer Science mentorship.  Click here for more information. Google is also looking for students who are passionate about CS enrichment, outreach and education to bring Applied CS with Android to campus as a facilitator.  Selected facilitators will get a chance to attend an in-person training bootcamp at Google in late February 2017 to learn more about the program.  Click here to fill out an interest form.

    MinneWIC is the ACM-W Celebration of Women in Computing in the Upper MidWest and will be having their regional meeting February 17-18, 2017, at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN.  They have a poster session for students will a submission deadline of January 23 and will have $1,000 from ACM-W to be given in awards for the best student posters.  Click here for more information.

    The CS department has just added a course to this winter's schedule: Computer Graphics. We haven't offered this course since 2010, but we hope to resume teaching it on a regular basis.
